Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Erin Leigh and I’m a high maintenance mama. I am a proud mom to two boys 3 and 2 years old. I am so glad you are joining me in my journey of blogging! It is my mission in life to help other moms feel beautiful while managing a household. So here’s a little more about me…
I am a small town girl but…
I’ve always had big city dreams! I was born and raised on a farm, but it never really appealed to me as much as travel, fashion, and beauty. Don’t get me wrong, I really do love the mountains. There is something about the smell of Evergreens and solitude the fills the soul. My favorite city is Seattle, although I don’t live there, I think it’s the best city in the US!
I have a full time job
Ok not totally true…I have 3! One full time corporate job in Finance, which is amazing! I climbed the corporate ladder, BUT after having my two little boys, my life has forever changed. My second job is a mom, and that is not an understatement! I want to stay home with them but I still want to something I can call my own. I also feel it is important to contribute to their college fund. Those boys keep me busy around the clock. Because I am certainly not busy enough, I decided to add blogging to my plate! How’s that for a full plate!
I’m a major geek and introvert (surprise, surprise!)
I majored in business but secretly wish it would have been IT. I’ve taught myself to code, I love Excel, and can look at spreadsheets all day long! I’ve now started geeking out on SEO so this whole building a website and blogging thing is totally my jam.
My absolute favorite book of all time is by Susan Cain called Quiet. It is my guiding light and helps me understand that introverts are not that weird! I’ve also been a member of Toastmasters International so that helped me get over my public speaking fear and run effective meetings with the top level leaders of my company.
Speaking of Fear
I’ve had high anxiety my entire life. It wasn’t until recently I stopped giving a S*%T. I couldn’t tell you what exactly why I stopped stressing, it’s probably because I am just too busy to worry anymore. I’ll be writing posts about working mom life, so stay tuned.
